Insects
dominate this page and the trick in taking photos like this is to overcome
any apprehension that you might have that these creatures have any special
interest in you or want to jump on or fly at you.
To them,
with the exception of female mosquitoes and ticks, you are something to be
avoided because of your size. Slow deliberate movements work for me and
the camera, as inanimate, though moving object, seems to be no threat
at all
I have
never been stung or bitten or infested with anything (beside ticks and
mosquitoes).
The
interesting photo of the wasp on the stiff Teasel spines is misleading -
it was just a temporary stop for the wasp. It soon flew off.
